Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using Variant Images Gallery ("the App") on a Shopify store, you ("the Merchant") agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. The service

The App provides functionality to assign multiple product media images to individual product variants and to swap the product gallery on the storefront based on the selected variant. The service is delivered through a Shopify embedded admin app and a theme app extension.

3. Subscription and billing

• The App is offered on a recurring monthly subscription at the price displayed on the App Store listing (currently US$15.00 per 30-day period).
• A 7-day free trial is included with new installations.
• Billing is handled by Shopify Managed Billing. Charges appear on the Merchant's Shopify invoice.
• The Merchant may cancel at any time from the App's Billing page or by uninstalling the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for partial periods.
• The App may offer voucher codes that bypass the subscription for qualifying stores (development stores, partner stores, etc.). Voucher access can be revoked at any time at the App's discretion.

4. Acceptable use

The Merchant agrees not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Shopify's terms.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App without written permission.
• Use vouchers obtained fraudulently or by impersonation.

5. Data

Data handling is governed by the App's Privacy Policy. In summary: the App does not access customer data; it only accesses product and shop data needed to operate the variant-gallery functionality.

6. Service availability

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While the operator makes reasonable efforts to maintain uptime, no specific service-level agreement is offered for App Store-distributed plans. Scheduled maintenance, upstream outages (Shopify, Google Cloud), or unforeseen incidents may temporarily affect availability.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the App shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the Merchant in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

Material changes to these terms will be communicated to installed Merchants by email and noted with an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

The operator may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time for breach of these terms. The Merchant may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App.
